The Office of Civil Rights Compliance at the University of Southern California (USC) is seeking a Senior Investigator to join their team. This role involves assessing reports of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and conducting thorough investigations, providing guidance on civil rights matters, and delivering training to university communities. Key Responsibilities Assess, investigate, and resolve discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints. Follow proper protocols for administrative investigations. Create comprehensive, well written written reports. Document all interviews and meetings with witnesses (faculty, staff, students, supervisors, managers, senior administrators). Maintain detailed, confidential case files. Serve as an expert on non discrimination, equal opportunity, and civil rights matters; provide advice, guidance, and educational leadership to faculty, staff, and students. Stay informed of trends and developments in the field. Participate in the evaluation and ongoing development of university policies and procedures. Deliver training and educational programs to various university communities. Preferred Qualifications 9 years of experience and Juris Doctor (JD). Demonstrated commitment to fairness and fostering a culture of belonging and engagement. Minimum Education & Experience Minimum Education: Master's degree. Minimum Experience: 6 years in civil rights investigation within educational or large organizational contexts. Directly related investigation experience in civil rights in employment and/or education. Ability to conduct interviews and investigations as an unbiased and neutral party. Knowledge of state and federal laws (Title IX, Title VI, Section 504, ADA, Title VII, FERPA, FEHA) and related regulations. Experience developing and presenting educational materials. Excellent writing, time-management, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Salary & Benefits Annual base salary range: $98,776 - $139,000. Location: Remote.
