Position: Prosthodontic & Surgical Dental Assistant
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Must be available to travel between two office locations as needed

Position Summary

OneSolution Dental Implant Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly motivated Prosthodontic & Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing team.

This position requires a Dental Assistant who is comfortable working in a  prosthodontic and surgical environment and is willing to  travel between two office locations as needed based on the doctors' schedules, patient needs, and staffing requirements.

The ideal candidate is organized, clinically strong, proactive, and comfortable assisting with complex restorative, implant, and surgical procedures. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands the importance of preparation, efficiency, sterilization, patient experience, and anticipating the doctor's needs.

Key Responsibilities

Prosthodontic & Restorative Assisting

• Assist the Prosthodontist during complex restorative and prosthodontic procedures.
• Assist with crowns, bridges, dentures, implant restorations, full-mouth rehabilitation, and other restorative procedures.
• Assist with  All-on-X and full-arch implant restorative cases .
• Prepare operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist with impressions, models, temporaries, and other laboratory-related procedures within the Dental Assistant's permitted scope.
• Coordinate laboratory cases and ensure cases are properly documented and sent to the appropriate dental laboratory.
• Accurately track laboratory cases and expected return dates to prevent treatment delays.
• Maintain excellent communication with doctors, laboratories, and other clinical team members.

Surgical Assisting

• Assist doctors during implant placement, extractions, bone grafting, and other surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical operatories and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are available before procedures begin.
• Maintain proper sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
• Assist with surgical setup and breakdown.
• Provide appropriate chairside assistance during procedures.
• Monitor and support patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Review pre-operative and post-operative instructions with patients as directed by the doctor.
• Ensure surgical rooms are properly cleaned, disinfected, and prepared between patients.

Clinical Operations & Patient Care

• Travel between  two OneSolution Dental Implant Center locations based on practice needs.
• Seat patients and obtain required consents and documentation.
• Take high-quality digital X-rays and other required dental images.
• Assist with accurate clinical charting.
• Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control procedures according to  OSHA and CDC standards .
• Turn over treatment rooms quickly and efficiently while maintaining proper infection-control standards.
• Monitor the daily schedule and anticipate the needs of the doctors and clinical team.
• Maintain organized and properly stocked operatories.
• Monitor clinical and surgical supplies and communicate inventory needs to management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help patients feel comfortable throughout their treatment.
• Perform additional clinical duties as requested by the Dentist, Prosthodontist, or Practice Administrator.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Dental Assistant program or equivalent hands-on dental assisting experience.
• Current Florida dental radiography certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of professional dental assisting experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be willing and able to travel between both office locations as needed.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, sterilization, and infection-control procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous  prosthodontic experience strongly preferred.
• Previous  oral surgery or dental implant experience strongly preferred.
• Experience assisting with  All-on-X, full-arch implant cases, dentures, implant restorations, and complex restorative dentistry is highly desirable.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) credentials are a plus.
• Experience working with digital dentistry and dental practice management software is preferred.

Important Travel Requirement

This position supports two OneSolution Dental Implant Center locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to work at either location based on the needs of the practices.
