OKTA Consultant
Location: Remote, MN would be ideal



Overview:
We are seeking an experienced OKTA and Azure Security Consultant to conduct a health check on our current OKTA environment, optimize identity management configurations, and enhance security across an Azure-based data lake. This role requires hands-on OKTA expertise, particularly in MFA deployment, along with strong knowledge in AD administration, server hardening, and security controls. The consultant will work closely with upper-level infrastructure and security teams to implement best practices and secure our IAM strategy.



Key Responsibilities:

• OKTA Health Check & MFA Deployment: Perform a health check on the current OKTA environment, implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), and provide recommendations to improve security and performance.
• Azure Data Lake Security: Design and secure an Azure data lake environment, focusing on identity management, access controls, and data protection.
• Active Directory & GPO Administration: Manage AD configurations, including GPOs and role-based access, following security best practices.
• Server Hardening & Security Controls: Apply advanced server hardening techniques, including firewall configuration, security patching, and intrusion prevention.
• Strategic Security Consulting: Collaborate with senior infrastructure and security teams to align IAM and security practices with organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• OKTA Expertise: Experience in OKTA Identity Cloud, MFA deployment, and access management best practices.
• Azure Security Knowledge: Proficiency in securing Azure environments, especially data lakes.
• AD & GPO Administration: Strong AD management skills with experience in GPO and access control.
• Server Hardening: Knowledge of server security, firewall configuration, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Upper-Level Security Consulting: Ability to provide strategic security guidance to senior teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OKTA and Azure certifications.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.
