Job Description Pacific Staffing is recruiting a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support daily cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and audit documentation within a growing Roseville CA-based organization. This entry-level role works closely with senior cybersecurity staff, MSP/MSSP partners, and internal IT teams to review alerts, track vulnerabilities, assist with software security reviews, support identity and access controls, and maintain accurate security documentation while developing hands-on experience in security operations. Direct Hire Onsite/Hybrid or Remote options available Pay range: $80,000-$87,000 per year (DOE) Key Responsibilities: Review and triage security alerts; support incident investigation and documentation. Assist with vulnerability and patch management tracking, remediation follow-up, and compliance reporting. Support security reviews for new software, applications, and technology requests. Monitor endpoint and system security configurations; coordinate remediation with IT teams and service providers. Perform routine security administration, reporting, and documentation. Assist with identity and access reviews, privileged account checks, and access exception tracking. Support security awareness activities, phishing simulations, and employee guidance. Assist with disaster recovery/business continuity documentation and exercises. Gather audit evidence, maintain organized records, and support compliance activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT support. Foundational understanding of endpoint security, phishing, authentication, patching, networking, and incident escalation is required. Experienced in Windows environments and Microsoft technologies. Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and willingness to learn. Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with technical teams and service providers. CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar certification. Exposure to SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, or security monitoring tools. Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Proofpoint, SentinelOne, or scripting (PowerShell/Python). Understanding of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks. Pacific ExecSearch
