You will be working for a fast-growing firm specializing in fund administration services for alternative investment managers. Founded in 2019, the organization supports investment funds with accounting, reporting, and operational services, helping clients maintain accuracy, transparency, and compliance across their financial operations.
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger for assigned funds
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Calculate and record capital calls and distributions
Review accruals and expense allocations
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and footnotes
Produce capital account rollforwards and investor reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and industry regulations
Take ownership of assigned funds and maintain accuracy across deliverables
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting
Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Positive, team-oriented attitude
2-3 years of experience in audit or tax
Previous experience in financial services or fund administration
Exposure to alternative investment structures (private equity, hedge funds, etc.)
Experience preparing investor reports or capital account statements
Comfort learning new accounting systems and fund structures
