Plans and directs the operation of a dairy cattle farm operation. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Considerable knowledge of livestock care and breeding. Skill in operating tools and equipment associated with the required work. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to plan and direct work of others. Demonstrated ability to compile budget requests and monitor expenditures. Demonstrated ability to coordinate services with other institutions, departments and agencies. Skilled in performing employee relations management functions. A valid driver’s license. Additional Considerations Previous experience in animal husbandry or related areas. Progressively reasonable experience, which includes management of a farming operation. Prior supervisory management experience. Knowledge of institutional security procedures. Commercial Driver’s License, Pesticide Applicator License, A.I.
